Company Information
Ladbrokes was found in 1886 by Messrs Schwind and Pendleton, who at that time were commission agents for horses. The name Ladbrokes came from the Ladbroke Hall, Worcestershire where the horses were trained. It was officially a brand name in 1902 when the future bookmaker moved in London. The betting and gaming giant surely has a rich history and nowadays it’s still based in London. More precisely in Rayners Lane, Harrow. Ladbrokes is a large organisation with more than 2400 retail betting offices only in UK and Ireland and even more around Spain and Belgium. The bookmaker is known to be the largest betting provider in the UK and probably the biggest retail bookie worldwide. According to statistics from 2014, Ladbrokes has about 13 000 employees, revenue of £1 174 million and net income of nearly £41.0 million. The slogan of this enterprise is surely a strong one – “The world’s leading sports betting and gaming company”. The company is still growing and acquiring companies all over the world (Australia for example). They have a very strong presence in over 50 countries. On top of that they have built a great reputation amongst their customers.
